Namaqua Safari

Join our Namaqua Safari and discover the hidden treasures of this unique biodiversity. Our Namaqua safari will focus on Namaqua Park and the coastal diversity of the West Coast. We will take our sweet time and explore less travelled roads within the Northern Cape. The perfect short-stay Namaqua Safari for travellers that seek an introduction to Namaqualand.

We will explore the biodiversity of the lush vegetation, along with this area's mammals, reptiles and geology.

A Highlight of the Namaqua Safari is the beautiful passes we will experience along with the 4×4 caracal route along the Coast. The rugged and wild West Coast has claimed many shipwrecks. Our Coastal drive will take us to ancient caves and some of the remaining wrecks of the area.

The Namaqua Safari is a great relaxing safari and ideal for photography. The perfect adventure safari for travellers that enjoy the roads less travelled.

 Day 2,3

Namaqua National Park – Hondeklipbaai

We will seize the day with an early wake-up and a hearty breakfast. We are close to the entry point of Namaqua Park. Our route for the day is the beginning of the Diamond Coast 4×4 Coastal trail. We will follow two spoor sand roads along some of the most pristine beaches in South Africa. There is a variety of succulents, mammals, and birds along this path. It is not uncommon to find a pair of ostriches on the beach or a crossing duiker. In general, there are few places with such natural beauty and plant diversity in the World, not to mention that you might be driving 4 meters from the Atlantic ocean. Our lunch will be a picnic-style affair overlooking the mighty Atlantic. We continue our Namaqua safari in search of the smallest tortoise, namely the Namaqua Speckled Padloper. Today is a full day of adventure along the wild West Coast of Namaqualand. We will visit some of the oldest caves where humanity was living many years ago.  The Namaqua Park is a little hidden gem. Come and explore and enjoy the  Park with us. Hondeklipbaai will be our base for the next two nights. The town is a small fishing community with some known hidden treasures. The brave can endure a quick swim in the cold Atlantic. You are welcome to explore hondeklipbaai on foot. Great walks on the beach and a friendly community.
