Join our team on a Kolmanskop Ghost Town Safari adventure. This is one of the best-combined adventures on offer in Southern Namibia. This safari will explore two of the main attractions in Namibia, the ghost town of Kolmanskop and the Fish River Canyon. This is an arid region and along the way, we might be so lucky to stumble across the wild horses of the Namib!
This is the ideal way to explore and discover these arid landscapes. This safari will start and end at The Growcery Camp. You will need a valid passport to partake on this arid desert safari.
The combination of the Orange River, Fish River Canyon and Kolmanskop is perfect to explore the hidden south of Namibia.

The Growcery CampWe will meet and greet our travellers at The growcery Camp. We do recommend that you arrive no later than 5 pm at The Growcery. This evening is an introduction and a briefing on the adventure that we will embark upon. Our final arrangements and tour plan will be discussed around the Dinner Table. Aus – Kolmanskop – LuderitzWe will seize the day with an early wake-up and a hearty breakfast. We depart from Namibia and will take the road less travelled along the Orange River. This morning is filled with panoramic desert views and arid landscapes. Departure times are subject to the seasons. In general, we would like to depart no later than 9:00 am this morning. We will have an on route picnic style lunch while admiring the desert geology and vegetation. This is a great day for contrasts in landscapes. The next three days we will make our base near the small town of Aus. This is a great base to embark on our day trips and adventures in the southern Namib desert of Namibia. These Adventures will include a visit the Ghost Town, Kolmanskop and Luderitz. We will also spend some time in the desert and in search of the infamous Wild Namib Desert Horses. Day 4 |
Aus – Fishriver CanyonWe will seize the day with an early wake-up and a hearty breakfast, before embarking on our journey towards the Fishriver Canyon. We will take the main road towards Seeheim, before turning to some of the best gravel roads in the south. We have ample time to explore the Fish River Canyon. We will be overnighting in a nearby lodge. The following morning we wake up before sunrise and make our way towards the canyon of a sunrise, breakfast over Our Adventure continues back to starting point. We will embark on a river trail upon arrival and a perfect way to shed the dusty roads of the Namib desert. The river trail will take us back to the Growcery Camp, where we will spend our last night under the star studded skies. Accommodation: The Growcery camp |

Fishriver Canyon – The Growcery Camp – VioolsdriftOur Adventure continues back to starting point. We will embark on a river trail upon arrival and a perfect way to shed the dusty roads of the Namib desert. The river trail will take us back to the Growcery Camp, where we will spend our last night under the star studded skies. Accommodation: The Growcery Camp |
