2-Day Wet and Wild

Our 2 Day Wet and Wild adventure is the perfect safari and river rafting combination. The trip is a full day of activity, experience, and adventure. We will start our day at 09:00 am to transfer to our rafting starting point. We will either make use of sit-on-top kayaks or inflatable two-person rafts. The selection all depends on the water levels of the Orange river on the day. The morning on the orange river will offer some fast-flowing water with beautiful scenery. The magnificent Birdlife adds to the surroundings. The Richtersveld is well known for rock formations and semi-precious minerals.

The first part of our trail starts meandering down the ‘Great Orange' river. During which you will be viewing an array of Birdlife, paddling and negotiating rapids while primarily being amazed at the setting, relaxing in the sun, and cooling off with a swim in the river. After enjoying lunch on the side of the river, we make our way back to camp. At camp, you can relax while your guides are preparing dinner.

What to expect on a 2-Day Wet and Wild

Day two of the trial is into two parts. We start our morning early with a hearty breakfast before departing on our rafting trail. Our trails begin upriver, and we transfer our adventurers to our launching site. The day is on the river, bird watching, paddling, swimming, and even jumping from our famous jumping rock. The Richtersveld rock formations and landscapes are some of the oldest rock formations in the southern part of Africa. In all this, a relaxing day full of action. After a brief stop at basecamp for fresh supplies, our overnight adventure continues before meandering off for an evening of wild camping under the stars.

We explore the elevated hike over the Richtersveld with beautiful landscape views over the Orange River. The Quiver trees are towering over the mountain edges and are like silent visitors of the Richtersveld.

Our Explore the wild adventure is an excellent opportunity to experience the only mountainous desert of South Africa. The desolation of this rugged desert will leave you speechless at the best of times. The ancient petroglyphs are always a great visit and allow for discussion and mythology of the Nama-Khoi people.
